The biggest difference.  I used Resene.  Seems to be Geoff/idiot proof.

 

How long ago was this? It seems that in paint formulation a few years makes quite a difference.

I most recently painted last year.  Though I cannot recall whether it was much older ceiling paint or whether it was the leftovers from what Dad purchased for his house last year.

That said, helping Dad with his painting it seemed fairly idiot proof also as I wasn't being consistent in direction etc and it didn't seem to be a problem.
