Living and learning! Unfortunately this has not only been a ridiculously expensive journey, it's one without a straightforward solution to fix the problem.

"Resene Walk-on Concrete Clear is based on tough waterborne resins to give maximum abrasion resistance in a single pack satin finish on concrete surfaces subject to foot traffic. Preparation • Ensure substrates to be coated are in sound condition, dry, free from dirt, dust, loose material, oil and salt.

That probably means it's an alkyd base modified with polyurethane resin, which means you can deal with it as a polyurethane. If paint stripper doesn't work try some acetone which should dissolve it, or first some meths which won't dissolve it but could soften it enough that you can scrub it away. Meths will deal with a lot of stuff that way, you can for example remove silicone sealant, which is otherwise nasty stuff to get off, by repeated softening with meths and scrubbing.

Curious question:

How did it smell when the product was wet? Did it have much scent?

Usually that can be a quick (but not foolproof) giveaway if something is waterbased or not.

The two-part waterbased epoxy coating I put on my garage floor didn't smell like anything when it was wet.
