To round off this one, ended up with the Diablo and very impressed. It's only 10mm pine I'm cutting but the edges are razor sharp. Tiny amount of chip out on a couple of cuts at the back corner that I'm sure I could address with a spoil board or tape if it was a cut that would show.

I am now very tempted to go and get the Full Boar blade for comparison. Though I suspect the real test is not how they perform the first ~100 cuts, rather how long they last. Especially since you can get two Full Board blades for the price of one Diablo.

Yeah, I got the 40T Diablo on the weekend as well for the table saw, the cut quality from the Diablo-alike 80T is like nothing I've seen from generic blades and I figured I'd pay a bit more for the Dago space magic (as one commentator put it) than to get a BluMak or Full Boar and wonder whether I should have sprung for the Diablo. The other thing with the Diablos is that for non-trade levels of use they should last pretty much forever, since virtually all the non-engineered timber NZ has is soft pine I can't see them degrading too much with use, it's not like we're going to be cutting a lot of oak or mahogany with it.
