I can vouch for these bulbs, actually bought a few of them a few weeks ago but paid $10 each from Bunnings here in Brisbane. Seems like the price is really excessive in NZ. I dont think I would have paid more than $10-$12 to be honest.

Having been in Australia recently with some notable exceptions like Meat, I was truly astonished how expensive things are here. Food in particular. $4 to 6 for an eggplant vs $4 a kilo. I got a box (12 punnets) of raspberries for $10 total as opposed to $6 a punnet here. The list went on and on. Could get a decent market breakfast at the markets what you'd call a cooked breakfast with bacon eggs toast and coffee and beans for between $9 and $12. You'd pay 24 to 30 here.

Very often the supermarket prices here are inflated compared to a Fruit and Vege store. For example a while back Passion Fruit $39.99 /kg at supermarket $19.99 at Fruit and Vege store.

Another LED bulb failed recently. It was a GE LED Classic 13W from M10. Installed 6 Nov 2022, failed approximately 7/6/2023, so it lasted about six months. The failure mode was it flickered occasionally, which is one of the more annoying failure modes. It has a two year warranty, so it'll be replaced - though it's from a two pack and I'm returning one of them so I'm sure they'll make that difficult.

I find LED bulbs really unreliable. I was trying the GE brand to see if it was any better, and a sample size of one is obviously not statistically significant, but it's not a good start.

I wonder if any brand of LED bulbs is more reliable than the others.

I am pretty sure the ones we have aren't dubai bulbs.. the whole reason why it lasts is due to leds are working way under capacity

thus producing very little amount of heat etc count the number of led strips per watt.

The NZ ones while uses very little but the number of strips don't seem to add up...

I believe that the NZ bulbs may have longer strips than the Dubai bulbs (see https://youtu.be/nMc6mjE9Y1s?t=131).  This may partially offset the reduced number of strips per watt

(I've got a NZ high efficiency bulb with long strips)

Interestingly, Phillips rate the Dubai bulb at 25k hrs, and the NZ bulb at 50k hrs.

We've found LED to be a lot more reliable than CFL. The halogen bulbs in the rangehood are the poor performers here.

Rangehood are a specialty bulb, I'm talking about regular bulbs.
