Two or three pitted black olives and a pipi.

Garlic, olives, pipi and that caviar - you’ve got the makings of a veritable feast there.

Red, white or sparkling to go with it?

This is the stuff that we primary school boys used to throw at the girls from the tree houses (huts made of a few nailed-up boards) when they disturbed our adventures and insisted on playing on our island (about 300 square metres surrounded by a small stream). It’s also known as frog or toad spawn.

Strange as we have no frogs near our garden (at least not that we’re aware)

Whatever amphibians or fish it may be. It is some kind of spawn.

Size is appropriate. For an ant.
