Wall insulation is a (usually) one time chance to maximise the comfort of the place as well as decrease the energy requirement. 

 

When doing a reno, I always max out what a wall will physically take.

 

try getting that attitude into the building industry. 

unfortunately we build to minimums and most people do not know and/or do not care about comfort or energy requirements, as we have been very well taught to put up with bad housing. so its really cool to see people going the extra mile.
