mdf:
If it is just particle board (i.e., soft wood) you probably don't need to countersink; the screw should pull itself in.
Usually, I am pretty good at reading the (F) Manual when I purchase a new item.
But I didn't read the instructions for the screws, which says:
- Choose a screw length that will provide sufficient embedment into the timber being fastened to. [Note: 50mm was recommended at the time but will try 65mm soon.]
- Fit screw to driving tool. Push sharply to create 'centremark'.
- Squeeze trigger and maintain constant pressure until screw has drilled and fastened'.
