I contacted Dyson via Facebook messenger 22.09.25 sent them my purchase details etc.

 

Asked about a CGA claim they then had to raise it to higher department. Yes please!

 

A few days later messaged that I haven't heard any thing yet .

 

Anyway they agreed and received new Toque head motor today needless to say very happy with the outcome.

Dealing with Dyson - only email was available - was a total nightmare. They were slow to respond at every point and their responses were obfuscating and didn't make sense. Email discussions went round and round in circles.

 

 

Huh?  They have an 0800 number on their website.  Were you dealing with the distributor instead perhaps?  

 

 

TBH I'm not sure who I ended up dealing with in that sense. We bought the vac on 3 May 2023. When the fault arose in late May 2024, I rang the 0800 number. They asked me whether I had registered for the two-year guarantee. I hadn't so they said I needed to do that first. 

 

I then got an email confirming guarantee period 3 May 2023 to 3 May 2025. Then everything switched to being by email - not sure how or why.

 

 

No, you don't have to signup for "two-year guarantte". For something premium, which failed just days out of warrant the CGA would apply automatically, filling a form or not.
