Had been going down the warehouse hooded s/s cheapie route and found they cooked well and would last a few years before the burners and heat deflecters rusted out. Which was fine - get a few years BBQ for a few hundred bucks. Then put it on the kerb and it disappears in a day.
Last summer bought a "goldair" cheapie from Briscoes. What a piece of cr*p. Will throw it shortly. The fat tray doesn't work and can't be slid out. Relies on a catch can in the corner but the fall isn't right and it the fat leaks out the opposite corner.
Have used WeberQ in the past. People seem to love them apart from me. Didn't like it and found the heat to be very uneven.
So I am back to square one.
