Does anyone have any particular thoughts for / against the Cavius Wireless smoke alarms vs the ordinary non-wireless ?

Far as I can tell the non-wireless have 10 year batteries and the wireless are 5 year batteries but replaceable. I guess they are both designed to last 10 years so with the wireless you should really only replace the battery once then dispose after another five ?

Connected smoke detectors are always recommended if you live on much more than 40 sqm, or over several floors.

The wireless Cavius smoke alarms are really good.

Thats correct. The manufacturer is giving a 5 year manufacturer warranty on the smoke alarms now. Not sure if that covers the ones sold in NZ, but should do.

The battery is a standard Duracell CR123A litium battery, so easy enough to find replacement when you need it.
