No we didn't because you said you kept it on a certain setting... you didn't say you'd tried auto.
In either mode - auto or constant fan speed, the fan switches OFF when at setpoint in heating. I’ve spoken to Daikin technical support and they have told me it can’t be changed as its energy saving feature required for MEPS. The fan slows down when it nears setpoint, then switches off. When the room temp drops the fan switches on again.
Nice... Remind me not to buy another Daikin then (mine doesn't do that) :D
Just wanted to check blakamin - are you sure the Panasonic doesn't do this? Reason I ask is if the fan is super quiet at the lowest speed you might not actually hear it switching on and off. Maybe Kickinbac could be a light sleeper that has his indoor unit close to his pillow so it's more disruptive.
I tried my in-laws 4.6kw Cora and it had a midnight/bedroom mode where I could only just hear the fan if I was really trying.
