We have a semi integrated XXL size Miele dishwasher and very happy with it.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Sucks your dishwasher is playing up, did you check if it was possible to repair the control panel? seems silly to replace the whole thing just because the control panel broke!

Quite likely no spares for a 14 year old Haier. Once if it was one of the expensive Euro brands people would strip parts from old machines as they are sent for recycling. From the look of the Wellington tip shop TM listings that may have stopped.

I will between now and Christmas, may give it away if in working condition. I don't want to give white elephants away either 😁

Which model? The manual for mine mentions that the dish drawers that have the flush and matching faces have a remote that you can mount on a wall somewhere.

Apparently it's a DD60ST19.

DD60STI9 has knock to pause feature which replaced the remotes of the older models. If you double tap in the top right corner it should pause and then allow you to open.

Thank you! That is really useful to know.

Bosch Series 8 with Zeolith. Only available from Harvey Norman (the other Series 8 available elsewhere don't have the Zeolith). Super quiet, dries everything including plastic, everything is adjustable, works great.
