tchart: I bought the Linus Tech Tips one, got delivered in December.

It’s an amazing screwdriver and the bits are very nice.

Project Farm rates it well in his recent review.

I was so tempted by one of these but really can't justify the high price for the amount I use it. The amount he's talked about it over the last couple of years I should hope it's a good end product. Also sounds like they are serious about extra bit sets, he said in this week's wan show how team have an open check book to add any and every bit set people want to the store.

I ended up getting an Amazon basics ratchet driver on a bit of a whim that's a similar design to the ltt one but only about $20aud. Unless you're using it all day every day it's fine for the occasional use most people would need from a driver and convenient to grab one thing and have all the bits on hand. Only minor thing is the slight wobble in the shaft, but it's fine other than that.

I went to Home Depot in USA and was very underwhelmed. I may has well have been in Mitre10 Mega - colour (color!!) scheme was the same, layout was identical and generally it was filled with generic middle of the road and low end product. It made me suspect that either there is a tie in to M10M or someone just copied and pasted from Home Depot.

I did stumble upon a "mom & pop" independent hardware store that was packed with quality tools at reasonable prices which is where I got everything.

When you are over there, take a look at https://www.mcmaster.com/  Not immediately obvious but they do sell a lot of tools, etc for example https://www.mcmaster.com/products/screwdrivers/ for bits.

I did a order out of LA at around 10am and had the order delivered by mid afternoon.

But they have milwaukee. They are a home improvement and building store, just like bunnings and mitre10 are so I wouldn't expect high end woodworking stuff from there.
