Ideally I would get rid of the toilet bowl stains and any smell as well. It definitely doesn't smell good, although I don't think most toilets do anyway πŸ˜€

Is the porcelain damaged from previous over cleaning? Curious how it’s able to have become stained.

Ive seen that on YouTube. Easy to get here?

Very easy, e.g. M10 and Bunnings, the specific US grades aren't generally used here so just get the finest type they have.

His pic was yellow stains, not in the bowl or on the bowl, but on the side rim. Flushes wont hit that, so it cannot be hardware stains, it has to be pee.

As I see it. The thread has digressed to hardware stains, and that was in the title, but I feel its a pee issue.

Not yet, I'm waiting until school etc restarts and will try it then.

My two thoughts.

Is the stain consistent all around the rim? If it is then pee seems unlikely as that would show up in more specific places rather than a consistent application all around the rim.

Does the water spash up a lot during flushing? That could explain water from the bown finding its way up on the rim?

Im not the OP, but his pic was possibly just a convenient colouring in, not specifically detailed.

Ive not seen a toilet that splashes up that much. Or at all, but cannot be discounted

I need to attack calcium/limescale on the shower glass. Im heading towards Vinegar and dishwash (the latter is as a surfactant) Then sand with bicarb. 0000 is on the radar though as well

BKF works great on shower doors especially once a week as a preventative. If you're starting out with a badly cloudy shower glass, invest in one of those cleaning pads that go on the end of a drill because I did it by hand with a non scratch sponge and it was a lot of work. Keeps my toilet clean and white too used once a week; usually let it sit in the toilet a while before scrubbing with the toilet brush.

yeah you've misinterpreted.  i get that it's pee stains, my question is how it even became stained by pee - porcelain should have a good solid clear coat that shouldn't be stainable unless it's been damaged, perhaps by overcleaning (think like teeth)
