On the subject of rangehoods - if you can accommodate one with a remote inline motor/fan then get one. They are so much quieter than the conventional ones with the motor and fan housed in the rangehood itself so you can crank it up to max and still hear that rock concert next door.

It’s called a “remote motor” - search for that in your research.  

 

I wish you luck as the products that support it are top of the range models, $2k and up

 

We put in a Sirius range hood with this.

Mitre 10 at least used to have two different qualities of kitchens and with the premium one,  the units and runners were made by hafele. The drawers were hafele grass.  Not sure if this is still the case but was the case in 2021 and the premium ones were pretty good quality.  I have one of them.
