Does anyone know of a right hinged front loading washing machine, or one that can easily be converted? We're ideally looking for something mid-range, ideally something Consumer recommends, rather than high end like Miele / AEG - maybe the $1200 Bosch or Samsung.

We have a small laundry, the left hinged washing machines would make it very difficult to load, and we want to move away from the top loader.

We've got an Ariston front loader that is hinged on the right hand side. I'm pretty sure this was from Harvey Norman a few years ago, but now cannot find it on their website. I don't remember it being super expensive (though not cheap either - but it is a big 9/10 kg model).

Couple of very minor quibbles but overall it's pretty good. If you can find them.

Late to the discussion but I hope it can help someone in the future.

First front loader I bought in 2002 was a Whirlpool. It required fixing twice in 2005 before a sparking problem in the motor that could not be fixed and it was uneconomical to repair.

It was replaced with a Bosch 7kg front loader. Excellent machine with a fast spin speed and a 25 minute fast wash making it a great machine.

It started to fail to spin properly, leaving clothes still saturated with water after finishing the spin cycle after 4 years. Again, told it was uneconomical to repair.

I found out after replacing it was a design problem that model was known for. My cousin-in-law had the same machine and same issue. He found a fix for the problem though.

It was replaced by a Beko after a bit of research. That was also an excellent machine with a faster spin speed and again a fast wash option.

The only thing that broke on it was the spring return in the door catch. The part cost $15 and I elected to spend $90 getting it professionally fitted (the part came with fitting instructions).

Left it in Australia when we moved here in 2017 with the new owners of our house.

When buying in NZ we negotiated with the current owner to purchase his 2015 F&P 7.5KG front loader. Same model is still for sale.

30 minute wash cycle is useful but you can see a little bit of washing powder foam in the machine on the last rinse. I usually use the 1 hour wash cycle.

Machine currently is very noisy on spin cycle, I think a bearing is going and am going to arrange a service call to investigate.
