I know this doesn't apply in this case, but a reminder to anyone else that has an older house to make sure the roof does not need maintenence in the next 10 to 15 years, and is in good condition before the panels are installed.

Here I'd chime in and suggest skipping Harrisons in Wellington. The local franchise owner is *very* hard to get hold of. And he has our deposit :(

So had a chat with Nerum today and it looks like they really mostly just do Fronius and Tesla Powerwall/QCell, which really isn't what I was after based on comments in the other thread. Here's my proposed setup, built around SMA hardware (again from the other thread):

 

 

 

 

In particular the heat-generating PV inverter is outdoors in a roofed-over area with good ventilation and the battery storage is in a concrete-walled room in the basement. If anyone has any comments, please let me know via the other thread.
