I'm looking at a system like this. Have you had any issues with the PW3 going into calibration mode?

I've discovered the Powerwall Companion app, which says it's for Powerwall2, but seems to work just fine on Powerwall3 as well.
is that just Windows and Android. Nothing for Mac or iOS?
Mod Edit - 'Funny' name corrected
Powerwall Companion App - Google Play, Microsoft Store, not sure about Apples.

After reading that, not Apples.

Can you please share the details of the system, the final cost, your normal usage and power plan / company so we all can compare?

cheers thanks for that. Also using NetZero app (available on all devices)

The Tesla PowerWall3 battery does not get us through the night.
At a time when daytime is longer than nightime, it does not bode well for winter.
We went live with our powerwall at beginning of March in South Island. One Friday we chose to go off grid. The system ran all the way to Monday and we turned back to time based control. Success. Good to have Canterbury sunshine. Generating 48kWh both days exporting 14 and 21 kWh
We are 100% electric (not EV just yet) but Ducted Air Con, Induction Cooking, Heat Pump Hot water, Heat Pump dryer etc. We were nearly 72hrs off grid in March and we have our Heat Pump Hot water running at 1pm each day to maximise from solar generation.
Hope that helps. We are with Meridian with sell rate of 17 and off peak (9pm - 7am ) of 18c, so now with time based control (80/20) it is sometimes charging the battery in early hours of morning to prepare if we have a low sunshine day and cheaper to run off batter if not generating solar.
All depends on your goal is 100% off grid, or if just trying to time shift to smooth grid and reduce costs while still having resilience in home power. In first week of April we had an extremely dark day with minimal solar. The PW3 automatically checked the forecast and charged the battery to 100% at 1am. We then ran battery through day to 9pm before switching back to grid. If want completely off grid in NZ, then may want more than 13.5kWH of storage.

Banned because someone is fragile enough to not accept moderation.

Yes, I can do that, but not for a couple of weeks.
I'm away from home and dont have all that info to hand.

There's a storm coming and the Powerwall knows about it!
We've been running with the Powerwall3 reserve set to 5%.
That has been getting us almost through the night.
With the storm alert now, we have changed the reserve to 100%.
The day has been gloomy so the battery has been charged from the grid, and the house is also drawing from the grid.
Now if we get a power cut hopefully the battery will keep things going till the power comes back on.
Once the storm has passed we'll change it back to 5%.
I hope this is what we are supposed to do.

"When Storm Watch is activated, you will receive a push notification, and Powerwall will charge to maximum capacity to automatically maximise your protection from grid outages. This remains active until the weather event ends, and your system will return to its normal behavior afterward. If Storm Watch hasn’t activated based on your local weather conditions, and you prefer additional energy security, set a higher Backup Reserve in advance of an anticipated grid outage."
it looks like it should do it all itself
I'm not sure I'm ready to trust the "system" yet, so a little bit of manual intervention seems prudent at the moment.

For those eagle-eyed amongst you who have seen my other thread today, we have no internet at the moment due to some clumsy spade work in the vicinity of the fibre cable. I am conveniently not at home right now so it is not impacting me.
I expected that the Tesla app would not be able to send data back to wherever it goes, and be stuck at 3pm.
But it is updating....
How is it doing that?

Don't they have cellular backup? I heard you need specific permission to use tesla off grid when you have no internet or cell coverage for warranty reasons

Is the app not talking to the TPW directly over your wifi?
Or were you not at home at the time?
Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.
