For information only. Miele is laying off employees here in Germany and relocating its production abroad. This at least partially removes the justification for higher prices, so don't be surprised at possible differences in quality from now on.

Disappointing to hear Bosch’s after-sales service may not be great, but I’m also hoping that would be balanced against a lower chance of us needing it!

Just to counter this, I last contacted Bosch in September 2022 (for my washing machine) the service was really good and the repair cost was very reasonable.

I had last used them before that in about 2017 and the service was actually rubbish, so seems they have made improvements between those times.

My home came with a suite of F&P appliances and I hate them.

The oven looks identical to the one you linked and has a very similar model number. Whilst it is one of the more usable appliances supplied at my place, I find the touch sensitive panel infuriating. It starts activating functions every time I clean the front panel and sometimes it is difficult to figure out how to back out of any option or setting that I have unintentionally selected.

Thanks for this, @alasta; this unnecessary ‘complexifying’ of the controls of something as basic as an oven is enough reason to discount this model for us. We’ve already moved away from F&P in both fridge and washing machine as we weren’t impressed with their quality, reliability and performance (moving to LG and Bosch respectively), and I don’t think their ovens will get us back as customers.

Yeah, apart from my current F&P kitchen suite I have used mainly LG and Bosch appliances up to this point and have been very happy with them. The exception is my washing machine which is a Panasonic and I have a few minor gripes with that but overall it's reasonably good.

We had a F&P washing machine, it was rubbish.

It had 'touch' button, where it would not work if your fingers are wet. Given that it's a kitchen, our fingers are wet a lot.

It broke down and we replaced it with the bottom-tier Bosch made in Turkey.
