I built an external DC fast charger for my eScooter that shortens the charging process from 9-10h to 6-6.5h without violating the specifications of the 835Wh ion battery. This now ensures that the eScooter is ready for use again early in the morning if I return late in the evening.

Just to be sure what I'm talking about when I say eScooter. These things are foldable, weigh around 21kg, go here to a limited 20km/h (+10% tolerance) and have a practical range of up to 60~70km. (I have the right-hand model with suspension fork, LED indicators and a larger battery.)

I'm leaving the car behind more and more often and using it in city traffic jams, but I also use it on its own or in combination with public transportation when I need to get to another big city and be mobile in the inner city locally.

My ~15yr old Weber baby Q is looking a bit worse for wear over the years. The powder coat on the lid had peeled and the aluminium had started to corrode/oxidise. Decided to strip it try a couple of coats of ultra high temperature paint. Came up alright, next is to do the base.

Did you use a primer on the bare alloy? Have you tried heating the BBQ yet?

No primer, the paint is specifically designed to be used without a primer. Yes, ran the BBQ for ~45mins at maximum to cure/bake the paint ~4hrs after the final coat.

1st question should have been what brand of paint? Looks good.

Looks like no more Christmas trees will have to be felled for us ...

I even removed the batteries and supplied them by wire.😉

Tree I made for last Christmas has just been setup for this year.

Made of 12mm dowels that get shorter as they go up the tree.

Got the inspiration for our tree from this: (yes, it looks cooler by design, but at night with illumination you get the same „Gemütlichkeit“!). Otherwise you might have to paint it with green color. Be warned, this size is about 40m of wood! 😉

That was my next question, how to store it and the weight. Looks like something Ikea would sell in Scandinavia. Cool.

I figured it out it is on sale as well, but not from ikea (quite expensive!). But they have a store bag available with their concept. Mine is from a DIY book which I got as a birthday gift.
