Looks good. 40cm is a bit to be losing though, you will never regret going as big as you can (within reason). So if you can wangle the straight hall and keep the living areas the same size, i'd try do that. With the meter in the garage, you can have that installed in the switch board box. Just need a taller one of course. It's what I did in my place, switch board stuff is at normal height and meter is installed above it, all in one neat box.

We could possibly shave 10-20cm back by reducing island from 90cm depth to 80cm (we'll only be using island from one side, no plans to use as breakfast bar) and if we wanted another 10 cm we could reduce the space between the island and kitchen bench from 120cm to 110cm.

I've made a slight tweak where the pantry doesn't get moved up, just the rest of the kitchen/island, I think this might be a good compromise (we're not going to increase the floor size).

 

Gives us a bit more space in the garage and bathroom which we would make good use of.
