I've got a bunch of those Trinity outdoor spots that take 75W G9 'halogens'. Been using Marexim heavy duty bulbs to replace them, but out of the blue EDL has stopped selling them. The highest wattage they sell now is 60:

So I check the Osram G9s at fetchalamp and guess what, the 75W bulbs are now discontinued:

With the 75W bulbs, the spots were only just bright enough. I tried the 60W Marexims, and they aren't really cutting it.

Is there any reason why these bulbs are no longer available in 75W?

I had a bit of a time finding some frosted 75W ones for a hanging wall lamp that makes stupid patterns on the wall with a clear one a while back. When I got the lamps frosted 75w ones were very easy to get.

Just be glad your trinity isnt like the first one I got ages back which had G9 style lamps with a small ES base on them, which ended up being available nowhere in NZ. I gave it to a friend to put on his house he was selling, with only one working lamp in it ;)

Where are you at? I brought a 75w G9 bulb from Mitre 10 Mega Mt Wellington on the weekend... from memory they had a few so if push came to shove I could go get you some and post them across if you're struggling to find them.

From the receipt:
HYBRID CAPSULE 5000HR G9 240V 75W CLEAR - Product code 118587, $4.98 ea.
