Hey all, wondering if anyone knows of a company in Auckland that does concrete re-shaping? The top of my driveway has a small lip that I need to remove about 5 - 10mm from - due to the angle of the driveway it just catches the underneath of my car as I drive over it.

Anyone know who I should be talking to - I've heard of Concrete cutting companies but not sure who can provide a 'shaping' service?

If you are open to bit of DIY and you have an angle grinder, buy a blade from Mitre10/Bunnings and grind if off yourself.

As well as supplying trade, so able to refer you to a concrete grinding service in your area, they can supply diamond blades etc for DIY (with a grinder).
I expect grinding off a lip as described with standard 125mm masonry disks would be a real mission. A diamond cup like this may do the trick.
A very useful bit of kit to have in the workshop - they last a long time. Don't forget to use safety glasses and good quality dust mask.
You can buy these at Mitre 10 etc, but at about double that price.

Depends on the aggregate but I really doubt you will need diamond for a job like that. Starting off with a rough Zec disc and finishing with a finer one would likely do the job.

It's a filthy job and plenty of hazards so if you don't have handyman gear already and an afternoon to spare just google 'auckland concrete grinding' or where ever and get a quote. It's a quick job done well for and experienced person with the best gear and you get a professional finish instead of something cheap that cost almost the same.
