I have 240v down lights (external) with GU10 base.  I'm looking to replace with a E27 base for use with Limitless LED lights.
The downlight model is Kobi from Lighting Plus, the base looks modular i.e. I can replace the GU10 fitting with a E27.
But looking for a local supply of the E27 component to screw onto the base is proving difficult.

Anyone know of a good supplier for E27 light fittings that may have something?

Here's what it looks like

I think far safer to get the whole fitting replaced, especially as there is a risk of fire due to incorrect clearnances, and you will probably find your insurance will be void if you make mods to downlighter fittings and insert bulbs there weren't designed for.

Hmm true will have a look around for suitable E27 down lights.
These current ones are rated for 75W halogen, and they do get very hot!

Aren't the halogren bulbs a lot smaller though,, so a lot less airspace around them. Some E27 B22  LED manufacturers will not allow their bulbs to be installed in enclosed fittings, and if they do, they will have a clearance, which will require quite a large gap. You should contycat the manufacturer as to their requirements. However I have found it isn't easy to get a clear answer from some.   LEDs can also get very hot.

I got a whole lot of E27 and E14 holders off aliexpress to replace the B22 ones on lamps around the house. About a buck each including airmail when getting 10 of each of them.

Check if you need a shade retaining ring. If you do then you will need to get E14 ones which unfortunatly limitless have chosen not to produce.
