When the Fujitsu Nocria fan speed is set on auto it runs at same speed constantly.This happens in the cooling or the heating mode. I tried lowering the temp. setting in the heat mode to get it to slow down and vice versa in the cool mode, to no avail. Could the wires have been switched when sent to clean the unit?
My Nocria on auto runs at variable speeds. I doubt cleaning could change anything, I've done it myself and you don't go near the wires generally, you just clean filters and such. I'd call your installer and ask them to check it.
It could be that it's undersized and working hard all the time. Does it ever turn on and off or does it run constantly? What temperature would you set it to in winter, and how good is your insulation?
Not hardly. It might even be a little oversized. I live on the shore of the Adriatic sea where the temperature is fairly moderate. The unit is nine years old and well cared for. It worked fine for a number of years and does a wonderful job of cooling and heating in even seldom -5C temps. Iy does not turn on and of; just runs constantly. I started noticing this a couple of years ago after I had it serviced/cleaned of the premises. I just had the service repeated and was hoping that the cause was dirt in the system and that now it would run normally. That didn't happen.
9 years is getting up there in age, apparently 15 years is about the max most can do. Living by the sea will accelerate degradation. Instead of cleaning I would suggest calling your provider and describing the problem. It may not be worth getting fixed at that age though, it might be worth replacing it with a more efficient unit.
