I am looking at ripping up my carpet as its stuffed and I have lovely rimu floorboards underneath. Can anyone give a rough idea of what it costs to have a 5x3.6m room sanded and varnished?

I'd rather not do it myself and leave it to the pros

6 months ago I paid $718 to do our bathroom & toilet, approx 2.5x3.5m.  Included 4 coats of polly. I was very impresed with (a) no sanding dust left anywhere; (b) no smell in the house, (c) dry within about 6 hours (although no heavy use for 24),

I was told this cost was more of a minimum charge because our area was so small.  It would be more cost effective to do several rooms at once.  So I would not expect you would need to pay more than I did!
