My google-fu is lacking tonight.

We have a Classique "Tilt-a-hood" Rangehood that was probably the original when our house was built in the 80's.

Anyway, I'm looking for a new filter for this thing but I cant find anything that looks remotely similar. Any ideas where I could get one - filter is the same as this one (picture from trademe).

Is it beyond cleaning? Usually using some sort of degreaser and then chucking in the dishwasher will relife them, they are usually a metal weave type construction so fairly robust

yep just pop it in a sink/bath, cover with really hot water (I use jug water to help get the temp up) and a heap of dish detergent. Leave it for a half hour, agitate it, brush it clean, give it a good rinse out, then let it dry.

I can't have sent my post, my soak choice is white vinegar to cover the mesh, dump in couple of spoons of baking soda, it will bubble, soak overnight. Then dishwasher, it should be like new.

Awesome, thanks for the advice guys. Yes it is the weave type mesh. I have cleaned it before but it was a ghastly job. I did read last night about the vinegar trick so might try that this time.
