I just got my first bill from Contact Energy and am a little confused by it.
I've queried it via their support email but haven't not got a satisfactory answer yet.
Hoping someone here might be able to explain better/faster.

I have two smart meters (Arc Inovations Q1MR-1T) and the meter numbers match those on my bill. One is a night meter that just does the hot water and the other one is on a Day/Night plan.

The bill shows readings that are listed as actual but don't the match the physical readings on the meters. For example the bill shows an actual reading on one meter as at 1 Sept as 021160 but when I checked on 3rd Sept the meter only showed 021141. I think the kWh are about right because the start and end reading on the bill are out by about the same amount from the readings I took I'm just trying to work out if the readings should match if taken at about the same time.

The Day/Night meter shows 3 separate readings on the bill, one is the Night usage of Day/Night and the other two readings combine into the Day usage on the bill. What are the two separate readings for Day? Are they likely to be just two 8 hours slots or are they separate circuits or something? Is there any way to equate the three separate readings on the bill with the single reading on the physical meter?

Was the Sept 1 reading of 021160 the "initial" reading? The initial read is often an estimate, even with a smart meter.
