Hi - can anyone tell me where I can buy one of these in NZ?  I have looked everywhere and can´t locate them, maybe they are not sold here.

There is a really cheap version in Bunnings, but it is so awful and nothing like the one on the link below.

I have a feeling I´m going to be told only an electrician can provide and install this, and to the extreme a consent will be needed too!

Looks like a standard, basic light fitting.

Agree.  Go to a specialty light shop, they have everything, the 3 DIY stores have every standard thing, not everything

Mitre 10 or Bunnings or Lighting Direct. Just guessing though

Thanks, but I´ve tried speciality shops, all of the main DIY stores and there is nothing like this.

Thanks farnorthtv, I hadn´t tried your suggestions.  I´ll give them a go tomorrow.

I just did a look around and found this

http://nz.rs-online.com/web/p/ceiling-rose-pendant-sets/4730913' target='_blank'> http://nz.rs-online.com/web/p/ceiling-rose-pendant-sets/4730913

I found Bunnings list one but it consists of the parts to be wired together.

When I was in the UK these sets were considerably cheaper than the component parts but it seems that that is not the case here. RS can be expensive for some items.

Is it legal to buy and use the UK one here?

Lighting Plus had quite a range of them when we were looking at lights earlier this year. They're about $12 - $30 depending on length and finish. They seem to be referred to as a Suspension Set here, whereas a Pendant Set is more typically referring to a similar style >50cm in length.
