Morning all,

Had a quote provided to me yesterday for Pest Screens for 3 lots of ranches and an internal door.

These were for the retractable screens and not tracked ones I believe (even though I asked for both, so clarification coming later this afternoon).

Does anyone have any advice / experience for this particular type of pest screen? Are they hard wearing (I have 3 boys), are there any issues with any of the mechanisms involved?

What about installer experiences?

I'm out in the NorWest of Auckland so it's been a little difficult getting them out to quote.

Quote came back at around $2200, is this reasonable?

Thanks all.

You are lucky to have even received a response.  We have contacted two companies wanting someone to quote for the installation of those concertina mozzie screen doors and weeks later haven't heard from either of them (they were meant to call back).

Agreed, but then I gave them multiple calls to remind them I wanted a quote.

He also mentioned that typically in summer they are flat out, around a 4 week wait for the items to be manufactured and assembled before getting out to install.

We called them multiple times and left numerous messages.  There is only so long you can do this until you give up.

For the windows in our house, I went to Bunnings and bought some kit sets for about $60 each and cut them down to size to fit the windows.
