So finally a space for me so I can potter around with what I want to do. Have cleared out our spare room and I am self teaching myself electrical engineering at the moment but I am planning on going back to school to learn this from scratch within the next 2 years. (Currently 46 years old)

Slowly getting my bench together.

I got when it was on special at the warehouse stationery for $170 , Its back to normal price now of $249.

Was a flat pack but very easy to put together. Its perfect for me and what I am doing.

I also purchased this which sits next to the table which is fantastic for all my parts and bits and pieces.

I got the single wide version of that at the warehouse, and it's a massive source of static. I put some copper adhiesive tape on the drawers up to where they hit the runners and put some foil on the bottom of them. I would get something better for anti static but foil is cheap and I just have to make sure that nothing with batteries go in the drawers. I probably should ground the frame somehow but it seems to no longer be doing the arm hair raising levels of static it was before.

Yup main chassis is earthed , you cant see but a single wire runs down the back of each sets of draws and is screwed into the back of each draw which then all goes to earth smile
