Looking for some recommendations for a site offering window blinds online.

Like what these guys do - http://www.blindsonline.net.nz/

The online sites all seem to be a similar price and far far cheaper than the local guys, but a little worried they will end up being crap quality.

Cheers

Hi,

Used http://www.mrblinds.co.nz/ a few times time for Vertical Fabric and Wooden Ventians.

No Issues with quality at all and service was great, I just send them the measurements of the window and they fitted perfectly.

We used www.blindstore.co.nz, and are very happy with the end result. We used them to purchase both single & dual roller blinds, with a mix of block out and sun filter blinds. They had very competitive prices, and a really good variety of available colours. They're also happy to send out fabric samples to assist with colour choice.

They quoted 3 weeks for manufacture & delivery, and the blinds were delivered slightly under that.

What sort are you looking for? I've just taken down some venetians, two sets about, I dunno, 80cm-1m wide, they're yours for free if you can get here before the inorganic collection guys do.

My partner purchased a window blind from there and was pretty happy with it.

Came exactly the right size, quality was fine too and it was cheap.

We just did a house lot with http://www.easyblinds.co.nz/

Cant rate them enough, very good and very cost effective.

My wife did one measurement ( they did the rest ) and it was wrong, it was her fault, they remade the blind and did not charge us extra.

Very fast, blackout in the bedroom is amazing.

My only comment is the setting sun in the lounge is a bit of a problem, we might need to put something slightly better there and it still gets you in the eye even though it is 80% reduction or something like that.

That's certainly above and beyond service.

I looked at buying online but ended up using Window treatments, a guy came out measured and had samples of everything. I was able to specify exactly what I wanted for my roller blinds i.e. blind colour, bar colour, chain colour, which way the blind rolled and if I wanted the chain on the left or right.

You get all those options with The Blind Store too. I was even able to get them to create a custom length chain for one of our windows with a smaller drop than the smallest length chain they offered.

These guys are awesome. Ordered multiple blinds for two houses now and they've been perfect every time. They say it will take a couple weeks, but I've had both mine delivered within the week.

One thing to note, if you are wanting to chuck your own motors in (as I did), ask for the "larger" tube (can't remember what the diameter is). Only a few dollars more, but lets you put in any generic motor i.e. a $50 motor versus a $300 NZ motor.

We've used NZ Blinds several times as we have replaced curtains around the house.

Been very happy with their service.

Another vote for NZBlinds. Great quality. Easy to fit. Great value in comparison to going to a physical store

If anyone is looking for honeycomb or pleated fabric blinds I got a couple in the TwinGo series from http://www.euroblinds.co.nz/ and am very happy with them. Similar to Luxaflex but cheaper than the local agent quoted and they have the ability to mount in the sash for tilt & turn windows, or else you can face-fix to the sash or frame like normal. They sent out samples beforehand which was really helpful.

Which motor's did you end up buying and what do you think of them? Looking at buying half a house worth, and rather than paying $300 per blind this could save me some serious money.
