We have a particulate smoke detector in our living area.  On hot days this room gets over 3OC if the house is shut up on a sunny day.

The smoke alarm has been false-activating a bit lately and always when the room is hot.

Is the unit likely to be defective?  I would have thought heat shouldn't set off a particulate smoke alarm?

Old battery? Voltage may be fluctuating with temperature.
