I thought I'd update our bench top oven, then I see there are a raft of options, I expected to buy a good brand that looks pretty, done.

I like this one

Russell Hobbs Digital Convection Oven RHTOV30

But I gather its convection and/or IR. Are InfraRed ovens a sound option? Any negative issues?

Note, manual shows its IR

No Preheat

  1.

technology: Combined digital programming and advanced infrared wave heat technology enable

the Performance Digital Convection Oven to cook without preheating for fast, easy meals.

    Turbo

Optional Turbo Function: Turbo cooking uses MAX infrared wave power to cook faster—ideal for reheating or cooking frozen snacks.

    Convection

Convection technology improves speed and evenness of cooking using improved heat circulation.

Hmm not sure about infrared

but it seems similar too:

Breville Smart Oven Pro Brushed Stainless With Element IQ® - 5 Independent quartz heating elements

https://www.breville.com.au/he-smart-oventm-pro-stainless.html

I've got the Breville and its great. Heats up quick and fast cooks well too.

So thinking it's the same due to quartz heating elements
