Does anyone have, or had a Disher and Pykel ABLE dishwasher (DW60CSX1 EL NZ)?

If so, eve not been able to power it on? Ours seems to be dead this evening. Have done the usual power off/on but no go. Not sure what else to try and manual is hopeless so have left powered off overnight.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with this model, before I go book a service visit.

Cheers
Grant

Edit: Corrected model name

Hmmm.

See here:

Seems common.

Probably because:

Personally I won't go near their stuff anymore, because it's not. IT's Haiers. Stick with reliable brands, check Consumer NZ and also user reviews (although most will be Aussie).

Thanks. Yes, I saw those reviews last night also.

The dishwasher came with our house and was 'New' in December 2010, so is likely 6 or 7 years old now. My guess is it will be uneconomical to repair. Will ring around on Tuesday for call out costs.

Cheers,
Grant

Ring up your local F&P service person, don't expect a cheap fix

We have one of these as well, never again, so many failures.

been brutally honest, buy something else, F&P used to be a good well known brand, but after their buy in from Haier their offerings are just rubbish

Been though 2 F&P dishwashers over the past 15 years.  First came with the house, double dish drawer, went fine until the first problem and then it was regularly on being repaired.  Bad seals always getting punctured and flooding the machine.  The next one we got was similar to yours, high end unit, just when they sold out to Haier.  Went fine for a few years then the problems started, similar to yours, repaired it once or twice then gave up.

Go get a Bosch, we got one, 5 years or so ago, they specs say they are quiet and it honestly is, plus it also cleans the dishes. Highly recommended. Hasn't missed a beat (touch wood) and does approx. 2 full loads a each day.

When I last called F&P a while back the callout fee was $120 or so. Buy a Bosch, super super quiet and works really well. There's a thread on dishwashers here.

Thanks. Yes I knew they got sold, wasn't sure to what manufacturer. Will warn my Ma who is about to go buy dishdrawers.

We recently got a Bosch Vacumn cleaner. Wasn't cheap but seems very sturdy. (Relaxx'x model) so may look into that brand.

It is most likely the problem is with the dishwasher, however, have you checked the power point the dishwasher is plugged into is working?

Try plugging something else in just to make sure. You might get lucky and find it is just a fuse or faulty socket.

I've plugged it into a known working outlet, no go.
