Go to Jaycar and get a 9 volt adaptor capable of 2 amps. They have the ones with multiple sized jacks.

Edit: OP, the centre pin is positive, the outer, negative, like *most* power supplies.

Last Jaycar one I got had a pathetic tip selection. 2 we're headphones types and then a few DC types. If you find none that fit then there are kits on aliexpress of every type I have seen for around $10 which adapt to a normal 2.1/5.5 mm DC plug.
