Hello,

I’m after some advice.

I need to install some cameras. 2 in the garage of the main house then a further 2 over in the shed that’s about 150mtrs away.
There is no wifi or network in the shed and it isn’t on the same power as the house.

Was looking at options like this to get a network connection to the shed? https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NETUBI1072/Ubiquiti-NanoStation-LocoM2-Outdoor-airMAX-CPE-24G

But what is the best camera system to use that will record and send a notification to an email or phone app when movement is found.

Ideally we don’t want to spend to much money on doing this.

Those are 2.4GHz radios, The 2.4GHz band is a cesspool full of noise in urban areas. Stretch to the nanobeam AC2's and you will get a much faster and more stable link than trying to do it with a wide angle 2.4GHz radio that will most of the time be waiting for the channel to appear clear

if it was me i would use unifi gear

for the house i would use a unifi erx-sfp in switch mode mainly for the fact its a little poe switch that can power the 2 cameras and the link to the shed and also another at the shed to power that link and those cameras

for the link i would use either the nano beam 16 ac or the nanobeam 19 ac 5 gig models only as if its urban as mentioned above the 2.4 gig band is full of noise

cameras i would get a 5 pack of unifi UVC G3's as its slightly cheaper to get the 5 pack and you would have one spare

for the nve just run up a vm or a old machine with your flavour of os and download unifi NVR and install, setup is a breeze
