so yesterday the alarm went off twice once at around 7am and once at around 5pm i tried to enter out code but it would not turn off after about 5 or so minutes it stopped so i turned off power to the keypad and gray box inside my house opened up the gray box and removed the battery then about 4am i got woken up to it going off again then it after a while it stopped

then about 11am today it started to go off again i called chubb they where no help and want to send somebody out to look at it and will cost $350

we have never used this alarm system before could it be something in the blue alarm box outside setting it off ?

Fault in a sensor possibly somewhere? Could be anything. Our last fault was water got into the tamper sensor in the outside siren/box. Do you have to use Chubb? I am sure any competent alarm company could deal with it. perhaps shop around

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

There is a battery in the Chubb outside siren.

It's a small lead acid 1.2 Ah battery.

yep, you need to whip out the battery. In this day and age... Alarms are recommended as a small deter ant... it even brings down your home insurance premium a wee bit.
