Am looking to light up the front door area of an old state house (1.5m wide by 1.5m deep, 2m high), looking at an Orbit Bulkhead LED Oval 8 Watt lamp https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/orbit-lighting-bulkhead-led-oval-8-watt/p/269856 ,Mitre's 10 web site indicates that its 850 Lumens however the box indicates 550 Lumens, is this enough Lumens in a space like this? just wanting to be able to see enough to unlock the door with ease and not trip on the step.

It will be more than enought brightness, but the colour temperature on those when I tried one was waaaaay higher than what they listed on the box, it was well into boy racer blue headlights territory.

At night 550 lumen is a lot. I have a 1000 lumen torch, at night it can light up a room so you can (just) read a book anywhere in the room.
