Hi all

Replacing some taps in the house. Bought some Stream Senya by Aquatica at Mitre 10 (believe it's the same as Aquatica Soluto)

http://www.aquatica.co.nz/saluto.htm

Bathroom taps was straightforward and I moved on to the gooseneck kitchen tap - but there is this thing in the box I've no idea what to do with it

It's a black hard plastic part with a flat side, and a 38.5mm diameter hole. Comes with matching double sided tape. Looks to be some sort of spacer?? or a template for cutting holes on the sink? (probably too big as the product spec says 30 to 35 mm hole for installation)

Anyone familiar with this? Thanks

If you have a thin bench (rather than thick stone or whatever), you could use that spacer.

Like @RunningMan says, it sticks to the underside of things like painted MDF, thin stone, or the porcelain bowl, so you can screw down the mixer without cracking things, or if the mixer has a long thread.

Most vanities have this issue.

(I paint "bespoke" cabinetry for a living, company does $1M+ homes, I'm talking $70k+ just for kitchen cabinets... )

Hey @blakamin, what would you know - do they even have kitchens (or BP service stations?) in Aussie?

Sorry - pardon my humour ;-)

Seriously though, @blakamin has explained it way better than I...

Now how did this thread get completely sidetracked?? Oh wait, it was me. Ooops.

At least the OP got a quick answer.
