Our bathroom currently works okayish, however it doesn't match whats on the building file at the council and I'd like to give the bedroom back the space thats been taken from it, as it is pretty pokey and the kids are getting bigger, also we had to install an extractor fan in the shower bit as it was black with mould despite regular cleaning and airing

Ok the top part of the image is whats on the building plans

The bottom part is what we currently have,

I basically want a bath with a shower over it, i'm after functional rather than high end pretty, i realise the wall will have to be lined etc and the one in the bedroom removed

We paid about 16k for ours 4 years ago and it was similar in size, 2x2m bathroom and 2x.7m toilet.

we sourced most of the fittings ourselves as it was cheaper than what the companies could get (home show sales/end of lines etc)

dont what ever you do get a show/bath diverter mixer, they fail over time and are a PITA to fix replace. get 2 separate mixers.

Wow.....we have replaced the bathroom sink and cupboard. OR I should say, installed one.

It had a pedestal sink and some mid-air pointless little drawers arrangement before.

$95 from op shop, and it's not an old grungy thing, quite modern and nice.

We also have a spa bath with shower over, the tiles round edge of bath were leaking so we ripped it off and re-did it ourselves.

$147.

There is a loo in the room too, had a part wall done some time ago, not ourselves so that was $700, made with Seratone.

The loo has been replaced, cistern $60, DIY, loo free, we were given it by someone who bought the entire thng at the time and only wanted the cistern.

Cost nothing.

Ours was a few years ago, 2.5m X 2.5m. new vanity, toilet, glass walk in shower, bench and cupboard with underbench front loader, tiled all walls and floor, underfloor heating, electrics etc, htr.

Was about $19k labour and materials
