I'm looking at getting a covered area built for part of our deck (around 18m2 covered), anyone have experience with the ClearVue roofing (http://www.clearvue.co.nz/system/grey-tint-glazing-panel/) or other similar plastic roofing (edit: another I found: http://www.suntuf.co.nz/range/suntuf-grey-tint/)? We're in a reasonably high wind area, and its very exposed to the sun, ideally we want something that provides us with a bit of shade from the sun in hot days and shelter from the weather, including less weathering of outdoor furniture. I don't know how well this will do the job (the one I've linked mentions 50% light/70% heat transmission), but it seems like a large umbrella isn't going to cut it unless I get a cantilever one with tilting, and even then I'm not sure how well it would stand up to the wind.
