I'm currently building a new house and have gone with Vynco Fusion lightswitches as the electrician could do them the same price as the PDL 600 series. Fit off was earlier this week and I went in to test out the switches yesterday. I noticed that turning on the lights, there is around a 1 second delay before the lights come on. Is this normal for Vynco Fusions? As our current house has PDL 600's and the lights turn on instantly upon switching on.

Are you sure that the delay is definitely caused by the switches? If you have LED lights, their driver circuits might be causing the delay.

They are just mechanical switches, so there should be no delay.

We have those switches, no noticable delay that I can see. My guess would be the lights themselves (LED?) - some of them take a second or so to "fire up". Do the lights (assuming LED again) have built in drivers or external?

BTW "pro" tip, stick to the standard colours if you are getting coloured face plates. They are way cheaper. We had a custom Resene one done only to find there was almost the exact same colour in the standard range.

The LED lights the electrician installed are Vynco M33 LED Downlights. Maybe it could be them that takes a half second to a second to "fire up" then. As I supplied pendant lights over my Island Kitchen bench, and they turn on instantly.

They limit inrush current to most LED drivers to stop them pitting switch contacts when you have 10+ of them on a single switch. turn on delays as the powersupply charges up are the result. Dimmable LED drivers seem to be slower since they have to be extra careful with inrush. Chinese LEDs dont care and have the mains go straight into a bridge rectifier and capacitor so have massive turn on spikes I have 4 of them in one room and when turning on there is enough of a voltage drop that others in another room will glitch slightly.
