Hi Guys

How good and reliable is this product LVT as we are planning get it installed in the Living area in our new house to be built. There could be some disadvantages and advantages around it but we are interested in knowing user experience and how practical is it in daily use.

Also there is a particular grade of vinyl used in wet shower area in bathrooms. If anyone has used it or any reviews on it are welcome.

Thank you,

We have those, in kitchen, dining area, downstairs toilet, and in the laundry. Look good, wear well, and if any damage you can replace one piece. I thought they were engineered planks so I was paranoid about cleaning them, moisture wise, then I found some spare pieces.

LVT is generic, and looking at some websites they either say little about wet areas or it says excluded wet areas. Kitchen etc is fine. What I take from that is a spill is fine, but ongoing exposure to lots of moisture and for longer than a spill could mean that if any teeny damage happened to a tile, long exposure to water could be damage causing?

They are very hard, hence I thought they were engineered wood. For wet areas you would really need vinyl sheets (few if any joins) or tiles. We have tiles for wet areas
