Just wondering if anyone has any experience with setting up outdoor motion sensor lights.
I am having problems with a recently installed sensor light HPM 12W Sika Light.
I followed the set up instructions and set the "Time" setting at minimum, the "Lux" setting at full sunlight and turned the power on. It appears to go through a set up routine for a minute as the instructions say, then switches off. Without touching the settings, the light turns on and off as expected in full daylight when walking in front of the sensor.
The problem occurs at night - as soon as it gets dark, the light comes on and stays on to the point where i need to turn it off altogether. Bizarrely, it comes on by itself without anyone walking in front of it. It does not switch off at all. I have tried all manner of settings (there is a sensitivity setting as well) and still it comes on and stays on. How is this possible when the Lux setting is set at sunshine? I would have thought if it was set at sunlight it wouldn't come on at all at night? Is this how they are supposed to work?
I have tried setting the Lux at full darkness and at levels in between. Same thing, the light comes on and stays on at night. The light is definitely not in manual mode, there are no moving tree branches close by, i've ruled out other possibilities. It's not faulty either, it is the second one i have had, i took the first one back as i had the same problem with that as well.
Just wondering if there is a step i am missing, grateful for any advice.....
