We have a Classique CLDESS dishwasher

When we turn it on it says error 04 which according to the manual is 'Overfilled' and the possible cause being 'Too much inlet water'

After turning on (without any program) and looking inside with the door open I can see that water in the lower pan is pumped out successfully but then a small amount of new water come in from the inlet and it repeats doing this (is this normal?)

Prior to this issue my wife said there was a small leak but it finished it program. I then cleaned the filters thinking the leak was due to the filters not be cleaned for a while it was only when I powered on to do the recommended rinse after cleaning that the error occurs

I turned off the power at the wall for a while hoping it would reset the 04 error but also to no avail

Any ideas ?

Some dishwashers have a water sensor in the base of the appliance. Designed to detect a leak from a pump or similar. It has probably tripped.

This morning I pulled the unit out to check hoses etc. I went to test again whilst it was out and the error had gone. We have successfully run a test cycle so it appears you could well be right that a sensor or something tripped and by moving the unit has reset it.
