Does anyone have any recommendations in the Hutt or Wairarapa region for a home security system install? We are looking at installing a simple system in a new building, with 7 sensors, and two keypads without monitoring. Don't need apps or wireless button, althoygh future upgradability is an advantage.  Would prefer to use bosch components as have had good experiences with the reliability of bosch security systems. Have had 3 quotes so far, but two don't use bosch, and one only installs with a monitoring contract and they own the system. The one quote I have had for a bosch system from one company, is double the price of the quote for a non bosch system from another company, and the price doesn't stack up at all, as it is over 4k, while the  other quote is 2k.  Also emailed a few companies but no reply. One companies website I tried viewing  has been hacked, which isn't a good sign.

So would welcome any recommendations. The electricians I have preciously used no longer exist, and my electrician doesn't do security systems which is annoying, as normally the electrician will just install one at a fair price. I think my last one installed about 3 years ago cost about 1k with 4 sensors, and that was bosch installed by the electrician.

I'm assuming you've been quoted Paradox - absolutely nothing wrong with them just for the record of you felt like staying away from Bosch.

Can't help with company recommendations though sorry.

Thanks. The one I was quoted was Arrowhead which I had never heard of . It looked okay but the sonsors and keypad lookd cheap and ugly compard to the bosch, I have heard of paradox, that maybe what the monitored company would use.

Almost at the stage of buying a Bosch Solution  kit off trademe and installing it myself and getting the electrician to hook it up to mains.
