Hi.
Traveling to Auckland from out of town tomorrow and we are shopping for a couple of items we don't see in our town.
(Tauranga)
Can anyone recomend a furnature store, we have done harvey norman etc locally, just want to see what else is out there.
In particular we (wife) is after a modern entry console/table for our new house.

Danske Møbler in Botany Downs might be worth a look.

Early Settler?
Tons of little one off shops for that sort of thing in Auckland......of course budget is another thing, but if it's not an issue, browse the net

They spell things differently out in the provinces.

Danske Mobler is really, really expensive. A better option might be to go to an area where there are a pile of furniture shops and comparison shop, particularly if some of them are Asian-run, you can often bargain for a better deal than what's listed. Wairau Park is good for this, for example.

You might like to look at Nick Scali

Not been there but we have not needed to go furnature shopping for a number of years.

There are also a whole bunch at Wairau Park, while you will have most of them in Tauranga, they may have different stock on the floor and your wife might see something she likes.
