Hi all

I am helping my parents with a solar panel install. Just wondering people's thoughts on the brands of panels that are best and the need for optimizers.

Had 2 quotes from World Solar and Harrisons.

World solar only use Trisolar Honeywell Plus panels and are proposing a Solar X inverter.

Harrisons use REC panels or you can upgrade to the LG panels and use the fronius inverter for a simple set up or solaredge inverter with the power optimizers.

Just after advice on what set up to go for.  The power optimizer setup does interest me but its relatively new tech?

The things that are important are where you are, what sort of roof do you have, what's the roof orientation, and is there any shading. Also do you have gas or electric hot water, are people home during the day, do you have money to burn, and what is the yearly power consumption.
