Hi.

I am after a new step ladder for indoor use.

I want something with 3 steps (our current is two and it's too low to reach the ceiling comfortably).

Iwant something small, light and compact as it's stored indoors too.

I went to Bunnings, they had about 5-7 of different ones, but they all don't feel that stable. If I shift my weight left to right I can easily get 2 feet off the ground. Our current one has the same issue.

Does something like what I want exist or is it a compromise situation. Happy to spend $100 if required.

Miter ten usually has better quality stuff than Bunnings, you could give them a try. We have a random 3 step ladder from Bunnings that works fine.

"If I shift my weight left to right I can easily get 2 feet off the ground" - took me a minute to work out you meant you can get two of the stool's four feet off the ground by leaning sideways. Don't do that, only go up, if you need to go sideways move the ladder.

Yeah, I understand not to do that, however, accidents happen, people lose balance etc, I'd like to find something designed to take a little bit of lateral movement without toppling over. Flared design or something perhaps.

were you trying out the step ladders or the step stools?

I have both at home and the ladder is ALOT sturdier than the stool

The stool is a lot easier to store and quicker to pull out though

I have one of these and one of the smaller two step ones.  Both very stable and thin so they store quite nicely behind a door in my kitchen (one of them does).
